Paul John Syribeys, M.D., F.A.C.S. is Middle Georgia’s leading microvascular surgeon. He is double-board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, the American Board of Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Syribeys grew up in Atlanta Georgia where he graduated from Lakeside High School in Dekalb county. He then attended The Citadel where he was a member of internationally renowned South Carolina Corps of Cadets.
Dr. Syribeys obtained his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a rigorous General Surgery residency. Upon completion of his General Surgery Residency, he was accepted into and completed an extremely competitive fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. The Division of Plastic Surgery at Emory University is recognized as one of the top training programs in the nation, and for the past 30 years has been the world leader in Plastic Surgery innovation. Dr. Syribeys worked and trained under many of the most well known masters in the fields of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, allowing him to offer you the “best of the newest techniques” as well as traditional approaches from those who pioneered the field of modern Plastic Surgery.
With well over a decade of education and training since his undergraduate degree Dr. Syribeys is one of the most highly trained physicians in the southeast. A Colonel in the Georgia Air National Guard, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Dr. Syribeys deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa.
He continues to serve as the State Air Surgeon for Georgia Headquarters in the Georgia National Guard. He is a clinical professor of surgery at the Mercer University School of Medicine and is also a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
